Criteria for the approval of an Assessment Quality Partner

The QCTO will appoint an entity as an assessment quality partner only if it is satisfied that the entity has: i.      The necessary expertise, experience and standing in relation to the occupational qualifications or foundational learning for which the assessment quality partner is appointed; and ii.      the resources necessary to perform its functions In terms of clause of the QCTO Delegation Policy, 22 June 2011 the criteria have been defined in detail as follows: i.     be  recommended  to  the  QCTO  by  the  relevant      DQP  during  the occupational                           development  process at a point  when they submit  an occupational profile. Due dates for POE submissions.

  • Your POE hard copy is received at our office and processed through our internal administration system.
  • POEs will be allocated to assessors that will assess and provide you directly feedback on the outcome. The duration of an assessment can be anything between 2 to 4 hours per file, if not more.
  • Once completed, the POE will be passed to the Internal Moderator that will repeat the same process.
  • Finally your POE is prepared for SETA verification. (Physical site visit by the SETA at our office to verify all the files and content that might take between 1 to 2 days.)
  • On completion the final documents is processed, verified again by the SETA and finally approved that might take up to 2 weeks.

SETA verification site visits is scheduled in advance between 4 to 8 weeks in advance. (Depending on the availability of the SETA) The process that will be followed:

  • We will publish the next closing date for submissions on our helpdesk: www.trainyoucansupport.co.za These are planned every 6 to 8 weeks.
  • All POEs received before or on this due date (that was found competent during the assessment process) will be included in our next SETA verification that is normally 2 weeks after the closing date. (We still need time to assess, moderate and prepare all the files for the site visit.)
